True Vintage
Prix de vente$225

A dynamic wildlife composition capturing a flock of mallards mid-lift from the water’s edge, Lake Erie Mallards reflects the precision and movement that define Richard Evett Bishop’s work. This print is rendered in fine line and tonal depth, the scene is framed by marsh grasses and open water. One of the most celebrated American sporting artists of the 20th century (1887–1975). Known for his depictions of waterfowl, ducks, geese, and coastal marshlands, Bishop brought a rare technical rigor to the genre, working primarily in etching, dry point, and other intaglio techniques, often printing his editions by hand. His influence extended nationally, including the design of the 1936 Federal Duck Stamp.
